01 — Visual Direction

Defining the visual
language.

The system began with the flame lily: inverted petals, exposed stamens and a radial structure with natural tension. Material references introduced black latex, liquid gloss and fibrous growth, creating a visual language that felt botanical, tactile and unfamiliar.

The goal was to preserve the flower's anatomy while pushing its surface, contrast and behaviour.
